A song like the sound of the sea

A song like the sound of the sea

There is a song like the sound of the sea
The thrilling waves rush over me
And draw me back again to see

Eternity!

The blue of the sky and the new born sea

Sing first creation day to me

And cause my deepest heart to see

Destiny!

The sand and shell and the foaming sea

Sing hope and life and joy to me --

They bless my eyes again to see

True beauty!

The pull of the tide and the roar of the sea

Sweep peace and calling over me:

In sense and sound and heart I see

Infinity!

A rain-soaked seat by the sea

I really like how the skift of water on the wood reflects the light, and augments the interplay of light and darkness, open space and sheltered wood. Here, the rain turns the always-beautiful sea into a pensive study: the ocean has many moods! Enjoy!

By the waters still my soul

Seek Him that maketh the seven stars and Orion, and turneth the shadow of death into the morning, and maketh the day dark with night: that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is His name!

Amos 5:8

When I consider your heavens,
the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which you have set in place,
what am I that you are mindful of me,
a mere human, that you care for me?
O LORD, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!

Psalm 8:3-4, 9

My heart will trust

I'll walk closer now
On the higher way…
Through the darkest night
Will You hold my hand?
Jesus guide my way

O You mourn with me
And You dance with me
For my heart of hearts
Is bound to you…

Though I walk through valleys low
I'll fear no evil –
By the waters still my soul,
My heart will trust in You!

My heart will trust in You
O You counsel me and You comfort me
When I cannot see You light my path…

My heart will trust in You, Lord!

My heart will trust in You!

Selah.

It's as easy as closing your eyes...

It's a cold day here in PA, with wind chill and snow. Needless to say, the inner boy in me is taking flight to sunny climes, lol. Look at the pic and then close your eyes, and maybe you can come along with me, lol. :-)

A new year look through eyes of wonder

Young 2007 looks out to the horizon, captivated by the sun and sea. Cap'n says, "It's a good year, mates!" "A time for sailing and discovery!" :-)
