A thanksgiving for the wilderness

I am not what I ought to be.
I am not what I wish to be.
I am not even what I hope to be.
But by the cross of Christ,
I am not what I was.

Thanks, Loy.

This is, perhaps, the same John Newton to whom "Amazing Grace" is atrributed?

Great quote and photo.

Indeed! One and the same.

John Newton was deep -- a true son of God, saved by grace. And he never forgot it. His spiritual life was deep, and he was partially responsible for the ending of slavery in England [via his impact on Wilberforce].

Great to hear from you, btw!

God bless,

Loy
