A sunset in a snowstorm

Driving on a back road today, in a beautiful snow, I was struck by the amber-colored sunset -- the foreground is in snow [the blemishes and blurs are actually falling snow] while the far background, low-flung under heavy clouds, is lit in stunning light. An amazing picture! Or should I say, an amazing setting, lol. The pic doesn't do it justice...

Pic's never do a scene justice, but we keep on trying. I think a sunrise or sunset breaking through storm clouds is one of great beauties of our world.

I saw the same stunning light, and I think you captured it well. However, what really jumped out at me was the fact that you were struck --- that had to hurt!

lol Allen! truly, it hurts! it hurts, man! One might call it sun struck, lol. Budda-bum! lol.

Not the most elegant of phrasing, ok, ok! but it was an elegant setting, lol.

And Vicki: thank you for your thoughts, very true! :-)
