October road

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight! Proverbs 3:5-6

I heard an elk bugle while I was taking this picture… a short time later two beautiful whitetail buck walked across the road. As I was framing the shot down the road, highlighted in the slanting sunlight, the Proverbs 3 imagery came to mind: God is the one who makes our paths beautiful! He makes every day a dance and creates truth in the inward parts… so trusting Him is key to beauty, to love! [click to enlarge pic]

Hey that looks like where I live. I saw similar scenes today as we drove home from church. Except in Ohio the only elk are fenced in.

The Pennsylvania elk herd is small but a very prized resource. The wild herd is less than a thousand animals, with other fenced in herds. But these animals are so beautiful -- and meant to range, not to be fenced in!

The elk that I heard was from Bugle Point Elk Ranch, only a few miles from Grove City.

Totally beautiful area! :-)
